University of Tennessee College of Medicine (Nashville) Program
About This Program
Saint Thomas has a rich history in surgical education; since the 1940s there have been residents associated with the surgical service here. Our residency is maturing and we have now successfully placed our 6th class of graduating residents in top-tier fellowship training programs. The mission for our General Surgery Residency program is to train affable and technically excellent general surgeons, who can practice the discipline of general surgery independently as outlined and governed by the ABS
