About This Program

Founded in 1936 with continuous accreditation, Howard University's General Surgery Residency is the oldest and largest HBCU surgical program. Housed in the nation's capital and the only hospital on an HBCU campus, we proudly serve the underserved and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion.
