Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center Program
About This Program
Our mission is to heal, to teach, to discover. A curriculum has been established that includes focused readings, surgical education, and self-assessment. We offer a clinical experience with a high volume and full breadth of general surgery and subspecialties, including complex and routine conditions. We use the SCORE curriculum for weekly didactics, mock oral exams, rotation-specific educational conferences, and a surgical skill curriculum using live animal models and virtual simulation.
