About This Program

Our program fosters a team-based approach to patient care both in the hospital and in the clinic. We are the largest family medicine program in Virginia with 18 core-faculty. Our program operates at two continuity clinics (Ghent and Portsmouth Family) as well as at two hospitals (Norfolk General Hospital and Maryview Medical Center). During clinic blocks, our residents are afforded two half-days of admin time per week and faculty support is always present for both the clinic and the hospital.
